About the Founder
Houmphanh Phahongchanh is the creative force behind Lao Culture Media, based in Luang Prabang.
A filmmaker, photographer, and creative director, Houmphanh is known for his ability to capture authentic moments and cultural depth through a cinematic and documentary-style approach. His work is rooted in a deep connection to Laos its traditions, people, and everyday life bringing a unique perspective that blends storytelling with visual artistry.
With experience working across documentaries, commercial productions, and international projects, he combines creative vision with practical production expertise, making him both a storyteller and a reliable production partner on the ground.
Beyond the camera, Houmphanh also supports projects as a fixer, location scout, and local producer, helping clients navigate filming in Laos from concept development to execution, including permits and logistics.
His mission is simple:
